6 months

Ellaree Rose is 6 months old today.  She weighs 15lbs 9oz and is the 50th percentile for weight and the 25th for height.  My little baby is growing way too fast.  She is eating rice cereal, pears, and bananas.  She still needs a bottle once during the night, but we are working on that.  She is very close to sitting up and crawling, but mainly just rolls and scoots.  This week she cut her first tooth.  She is a joy to be with every day and I am so thankful I get to be with her.  Before she was born I prayed that she would have a good personality.  Everyone that has been around her knows that she is a doll.  She lets almost anyone hold her and she "talks" to everybody.  She had her 6 month checkup today and the doctor confirmed that she is still perfect!   She was not happy about her shots and screamed louder than ever before.  I was starting to be a little embarrassed and worried that the other children would be traumatized.  I had to make her a bottle to stop the screaming...

Ellaree's  6 month present from Nana and Papa was Sophie the Giraffe.
She absolutely loved it.  Now I know why it's always been so popular.

On a different note, I have developed Mommy Thumb.  Seriously it's a real condition from picking up and holding the baby and her bottles.  I am wearing a splint and taking Alieve to try and treat it.  Nana also has it from her time taking care of Ellaree.  She is going to the doc on Monday and to see about getting a cortisone shot.  If it works I may get one too.  When I googled it, who knew it would actually be a real condition.  I had been calling it Mommy Hand.
